Arrowsmith Community Justice Society (ACJS) is looking to add new motivated individuals to their team, to become facilitators. If you are reliable, flexible and can demonstrate good communication skills, then this rewarding position to give back to our community is meant for you!

What does being a facilitator entail? We facilitate dialogue between those who are affected by a crime, and those responsible for committing a crime. We have fact finding interviews with all of the parties involved, which are referred to as pre-conference meetings. We then bring all of the parties together for a community conference. Our end goal is to help everyone decide on a mutually agreed upon resolution.

A Police Information Check (PIC) as well as a two-year commitment is required to become a volunteer. We have a flexible volunteer opportunity that works around your other life commitments. Training is provided to become a qualified facilitator.

Please fill out the volunteer application form, and the Program Coordinator will be in contact with you to set up a time to meet.
